Authenticity

Our level of thinking is directly related to our authentic self. The more we think, the less authentic we are and the less thinking, the more authentic we become. It’s a conundrum. How do we lessen our thoughts without overthinking it? Some people are masters at switching off and allowing their flow of thoughts to gently drip at a slower pace. Others find that the more they try to turn off the thinking tap, the more gushing and muddied the waters become. Meditation is generally cited as the best approach to quietening the mind. However, it is not a quiet hat to pull over your thinking cap to silence all your thoughts. It takes continuity of practice.

The road to authenticity begins at the point when we can no longer live with our conditioned self, the self bound by tradition, beliefs and expectation. We may come to this point through a personal crisis, or perhaps we might come in contact with an authentic person who ignites the flame of the authentic self within us. In my case, it was a combination of both. If we do not undertake this journey, we will continue to struggle and blame others for our shortcomings and frustrations. Worse still, we will project our dissatisfied self onto the people around us. Life is a mirror, it will reflect and attract the many facets of our character. Everyone is living a life created by their thoughts and these thoughts are generally caused by early conditioning, limited beliefs and expected achievements.

We must allow the emergence of our authentic self, we must encourage it, water it with conscious exercises such as breathing. Read the words of spiritual masters. Practice mindfulness, not only through meditation but in mundane tasks also. Become present to whatever it is you are doing in this moment. Otherwise, we will become misanthropes, at odds with ourselves and our fellow man because we cannot bear to see our limitations reflected to us through their thoughts, words and actions. Every political leader, celebrity or friend will become a mirror which we will want to crack from top to bottom because of the feeling it evokes in us.

Authenticity is a kind of inner rebellion. The true self struggles to outgrow the tight bud of ego, and to bloom in all its glory. After all, it is a seed of the cosmos. No less a star than those spilling forth from any cosmic nebula, straining to make their mark in the galaxy. We are star seeds, planted by the governing principle of the cosmos. To bloom, we must allow our conditioned self to wither, and watch as our authentic self flowers and brightens up our corner of the universe.

Ascension of Consciousness

Emotional congestion thwarts love, brooding and snarling, it lives in the shadows of fear, vengeance and betrayal. This towering babel of infractions of love, finds its foundations in the souls of men, its walls in his heart, and its smeared windows in his confused mind.

Attachment to form is the architect of pain. This multi-storey self trembling under the seismic activity of a fraught imagination and eventually crumbles beneath its igneous layer of egotism.

Life is governed by inexorable conditions. The world springs from the nature of our soul. In its pure state, the soul is fluid and transient. In its unnatural state, it is in the stasis of self, buttressed by beliefs and expectation, providing the soundtrack and narration for its masquerade as it parades through the apparent world. Desire is the float that carries the self aloft but fear halts its procession.

Fear is the harbinger that warns the soul of moral decline. Fear demands the penalty for transgressions are paid. Progress of the soul is not by linear procession, but by ascension of state. The egoist self lives in ignorance of this from human existence to human existence until the monolith of pain becomes too cumbersome to bear. The conditions of egoist thought and action lie within the soul. The ego subscribes to birth and death, it is governed by time. The soul is governed by the Law of eternal Being. The soul must pay for infractions caused by the wilful ego upon the whole. It is aided in this by the Law of Cause & Effect.

The world mirrors the soul’s state of consciousness. The ego is ignorant of this and projects its faults onto others. The truth living in the soul, known or unknown, is of unity. All life is one. Therefore, all humans are shareholders of transgressions, blame and vice. We are here because we are liable in making amends for our past actions that have imparted upon the whole. When the soul becomes aware of its reason for being in human form, its ascension of state accelerates and its moral nature overthrows the false master.

However, this metamorphosis is not without suffering. The mirror of truth is an unwelcome intruder to the ego, while it is the window of freedom for the soul. The inlet of vice must exit through the outlet of suffering. Denial of feeling the effect of wrongdoings eventually overpowers the capricious ego and turns the finger of the projectionist firmly inward. The ascension of the soul marks the decline of ego. The ego’s surrender marks the maturity of the soul indicating its maturity and awareness of its union with all life. Then the star seed of human consciousness shines brightly amongst the firmament of men so that the performance can match his promise.

The mutated mind of man

Image

I am the darkness in the mind of Man. I live through the thoughts and feelings humans produce, I have mutated into an entity in the mind that humans believe to be who they are.

How did I gain supremacy over the minds of humans and become so powerful? It is very simple, although man likes to complicate it. Complications, continuous questioning, the need to judge and analyze are my trademarks. It keeps the mind busy and confused, which means the human has no idea of what is really going on. Humans received the gift of freewill from the Creator and they lived for thousands of years in harmony with all of Creation. Freewill allowed humans to experience life in a unique and individual way while maintaining their unity with the Creator and all Life on the planet. The mind is the part of humans which allows them to immerse themselves in the world of form. These creatures are made of Light and they required an experience to help them see the wonder of their essence. The human body and mind was created to allow them to have such an experience while maintaining their link to their Source of Life. Continue reading

Love’s alter ego

The polarisation of Love causes a split resulting in desire & fear. Desire is Love’s alter ego, and fear is its protagonist. Souls who have lost connection to source energy, forget their true nature as Love, and instead opt for desire as a substitute. The soul’s truest calling is to give & receive love unconditionally. Trapped in form, the human wants to desire and be desired. Continue reading

Cause & Effect

Thoughts are the cause. Feelings are the effect. If one refuses to feel the effect of cause, karma is created or emotional debt.

Cause & Effect is a universal law that allows the harmony and unity of twin energies. Cause (thought) has a corresponding effect (feeling), and feeling has a corresponding thought. When feeling resists an emotion it becomes form bound as a personal thought i.e. me.  A build up of karmic debt results in an inflated sense of me and myself or ego. The emotionally charged self uses the mind through self-centred thinking. The seesaw of emotion and thought determines the physical reality one experiences. Through the female form, feeling energy realises it cannot manipulate or control its twin energy… mind. Through male form, mental energy realises it cannot emotionally abuse its twin energy… spirit.

Intention to release feeling from the mind attracts helpful thought. Intentional good thought attracts good feeling. Continue reading
